A meeting held, on Tuesday, by separatist groups turned into a fiasco, as no US Senator or Congressman attended the gathering which was held at the Russell Senate Building in WDC.
The room had been, apparently, reserved by an American think tanker involved in Iranian affairs.
Attending the event, were members of discredited and self proclaimed "Kurdish National Congress", "Komela Group", "Balootch People's Party", "The Diplomatic Mission of S. Azarbaijan" and indivduals, such as, "Mandana Zand Karimi-Ervin" of the so-called "Alliance of Iranian Women".
While all these groups are meaningless and don't enjoy of any kind of real popularity, outside some foreign circles which use them as tools, Zand Karimi-Ervin is known to most members of the Iranian opposition located outside Iran. This is not the first time that she has been involved with groups or individuals who are notorious for seeking the dismatlement of Iran.
Zand Karimi-Ervin's presence was, already, used as a propaganda tool, in order to try to legitimize a controversial meeting, held last October, with the presence of separatist and fascist elements, such as, Rahim Shahbazi. The Tuesday's meeting and Zand Karimi-Ervin have been subject, since yesterday, of sharp critics made by many Iranians and especially members of Iran's various ethnical groups.
The general anger, against Zand Karimi-Ervin, has risen, as especially, Roya Toloo-i who was a declared official speaker, deisted and refused to speak after understanding the real nature and hidden goals of other speakers. Many think of Zand Karimi-Ervin, as, an individual with the "political attention deficiency syndrome" and who's ready to do anything in order to show herself.
