A mistake, leading to confusion, in reference to the Movement, has been made, in the latest article written by the reporter named "Kenneth Timmerman".
Indeed, the wrong Newsmax.com article, titled as "Biden’s Ties to Pro-Iran Groups Questioned", refers to the named "Kaveh Mohseni," as one of the "spokesman" of the "Student Movement Coordination Committee for Democracy in Iran" (SMCCDI)" .
SMCCDI intends, hereby, to reject such a claim; and declares that Mr. Mohseni, who's residing in France, is in no shape or no form associated to the Movement and its leadership. Indeed, SMCCDI had to put an end, in 2005, to Mr. Mohseni's collaboration, limited to French matters and this under Movement's leadership directives, after witnessing his sharpe difference of opinion with some of the Movement's democratic views.
Unfortunately, it has been reported that Mohseni has been using the SMCCDI name on a personal website and for some self promotional activities, and this without any consent from the Movement's founders and leadership.
In that line, Mr. Timmerman, who's very familiar with SMCCDI's leadership and founders, based in the US, should avoid such grave and un-ethical mistakes. More unfortunately, it seems that this confusion, created by Kenneth Timmerman, is following an increasing wrong pattern in reference to Iranian affairs, such as, having endorsed un-popular and collapased projects known as the "Sazgara Referundum", or having tried to portray for the foreign public opnion, terrorist groups, such as the foreign made and Iranian National minority composed Pejak, as a legitimate and popular Iranian Democratic entity.
SMCCDI believes that there should be a limit in any type of mixing up of ideological or partisan views, with what's supposed to be Investigative Reporting.
